I made this helmet for my little brother’s birthday. He loves Daft Punk. It took me about 3 days to make and cost around 50 dollars.

Hey man, the helmet looks awesome! I was about to follow the instructions that require using bondo, sanding and painting, but your technique looks way better. Could you please post an updated link to the type of helmet needed? The ebay link is currently expired. Did the donor helmet come chrome when you bought it?
Love the Helmet, but have to ask why not use the bottom of two aluminum cans for the sidepieces and the visor, great stuff did you add any LED faceplating for it for authinicity and general enhanced coolness?
I have an LED display that scrolls “HUMAN HELLO WE ARE DAFT PUNK”, but I decided not to install it into this helmet, since it was for my younger brother. If I make another one for myself I would probably install the LED grid and keep it on display. The reason I didn’t use aluminum cans is simply because they looked strange with everything else being chrome. You’re right about the shape of them being better though, they are concave on the inside, which is more accurate to the actual helmet.
If I want to install LED lights how can I do so where can I buy them from and how would I be able to see with them installed and I love best thomas helm I’ve seen yet I started to make a guy helm to hard this seems very simple
