I saw this and went “HOLY CRAP THAT IS SO SEXY!” seriously, one of the best portables I’ve seen, and I’ve seen alot. You gunna sell it? Or do you keep your labors of love like me? I wish I had the soldering skills to make one of these, I started, but fried my screen ;D Well done job.
Thank you very much! I’m thinking about selling it right now actually. I wanted to keep it at first, but I might sell it and then build myself another one later.
;D How’s it game? When you’re selling it, let me know! If it doesn’t sell I’d certainly save up for it; but right now I’m saving for my missions trip to Zambia this summer. I’d at least like to know how much this piece of awesome geeky sexiness goes for! Btw, I smiled at your testimony at the top, alot of people wouldn’t have the heart to post that. So, you’re awesome; just saying.

It plays really well! It’s been really fun re-living banjo kazooie and Ocarina of time. Everything controls great, I couldn’t be happier! I may be selling it for $350, we’ll see though. I’m rather attached to it. I’m glad you enjoyed my testimony! Having it at the top of my page like that serves as a reminder to always give God credit for what he does in my life. I hope you have a great time in Zambia! I had the chance to go on a missions trip to El Salvador last Summer and it was amazing! God will bless you in more ways than one!

-begins saving 350 dollars…- ;D Btw, how’d you learn how to solder? I’m about to need to try again to hook my arcade controls up to the machine I built =) What was el salvador like?
I learned to solder through trial and error. I just bought an iron and started practicing on stuff. Just make sure you don’t forget to use flux! It makes everything easier. Hahaha. Do you have pictures of your arcade machine? I love arcade machines! And El Salvador was amazing. The weather there was crazy, it rained nearly every day, and the rain there is super super heavy. Like really intense pooring. Quite different than what I’m used to.
I’ll bet! lol, and sure, I’ll send some pictures to you once I get those controls installed (whenever that is ;P) Is your email on ur blog profile?
Yep! It’s under the contact tab!

It is an AG-85 from Polycase.com
Here’s the link
I just started working on my own portable. I was wondering what the dimensions of the case are for spacing and size purposes.
I was wondering what did you use for the cartridge holder on the back of the grape 64?
Do you make the other colors, like ice? And yes, i know it is $400 and takes a month
What case did you use for the grape64? was it the ag-85?
